The De-Bacon Wafel : Sweet Belgium wafel with bacon baked in, strawberries, banana, whipped cream, Nutella and Speculoos spread on the side.

One of my favorite food trucks in NYC this Belgium transplant also offers more traditional flavors.  Pictured is the soft, sweet, and chewy Leige Wafel a Belgian classic. Also pictured is the Mini-Wafelini version that can be placed in a skewer with strawberries and bananas and dipped in chocolate! (Food on a stick = ALWAYS DELICIOUS)

1) Wafel and Dinges – Dinges is pronounced something like “Ding-uhs” and the first one is free!

2) Speculoos Spread – Speculoos is a type of biscuit traditionally made for St. Nichols’ Feast in Belgium. In 2007 someone loved the flavor so much they made it into a spread, probably so the sweet, buttery, warm spice flavored treat could be intravaneously injected. Highly recommend you give this a try! (psst…ask for a sample taste next time!)
